hotel spina (our hotel in istanbul)
Day 39-43: Hotel Spina was our hotel in Istanbul. You’d be hard pressed to find a better location in Sultanahmet, right between the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia, equidistant from each and with unbelievable views from the roof terrace over both.
Our room was simple, elegant and uncluttered. Breakfast on the terrace was a sublime experience and the perfect way to start our day as we planned our activities in Istanbul. There is a second and higher terrace (not immediately obvious on first inspection) which you can visit for even less interrupted views.
After a few weeks in budget places, I was really happy to enjoy a little bit of luxury in Istanbul.
