passports, check! visas, check!
Day -10: We have the passports! We have the visas! We are ten days away from departure! Calm down Andrew!
I picked up our approved visas from the Syrian Embassy in Canberra’s O’Malley office on Thursday. Oddly, the experience was not unlike walking through a sliding door into somebody’s basement, excerpt there happened to be about eight desks arranged around the walls with everyone facing into the middle, working busily. The embassy staff were very prompt and pleasant and I was in and out in a flash.
