nervous wait
Day -17: We’ve placed our faith in the Australian postal system by sending our passports through the post (registered mail) to the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Canberra for processing. Syria is only one of two countries on our itinerary that we can’t get a visa for at the border (if we need one at all). What chance that they’ll go missing and we’ll be stuck without passports less than 3 weeks before heading off? Fingers crossed…

Sit tight. I’m sure it’ll come through though I remember it taking months when I surrendered my passport to the US embassyin London.
