jacob’s apartments, bergen, norway

Day 8: Last day in Norway and we splashed out for a room in central Bergen - a picturesque town (Norway’s 2nd largest?) on the west coast. After parking the car close to the railway station in Bergen we came across a sign which directed us down the road to Jacob’s Apartments. Our family room was a comfortable but no nonsense hotel room with tiny bathroom and four bunk beds. The best feature was the free wireless internet access. Not cheap! The family room set us back 1480 Kroner (about A$300); a double with ensuite would have been 1060 Kroner. Still, a good place to wander down to the water where where were plenty of locals out enjoying the light at 11pm.

Hotel summary
Double room, AC, shared bathroom: US$180
In a few words: Pricey but OK
Rating: 6
