durag niwas guesthouse, jodphur

jodhpur india durag niwas guesthouseDay 109: Arriving late in Jodphur by train, we disembarked one station before Jodphur central to be just around the corner from our home for the night, the Durag Niwas Guest House. A night before we left Australia, a friend of ours advised us that the best places to stay in India were family-run guest houses, and this place really proved the point. Simple, but a little oasis in the middle of a busy city, it also supported a small NGO operation teaching English to women from lower castes. Highly recommended.

Hello Andy and Kate!
Is the special hello to me or someone with the same fab name who gave you the advice on the hostel?
Have just clicked on poundster.com having not been on for a fortnight…What wonderful adventures you are having and great photos you are taking along the way! India is high on my “must go” list….did spend some time there as a 1 year old and have fond memories of the samosas but think it needs to be explored now that I have a tad more maturity. Will definitely have to coincide the visit with cricket season-your twenty20 experience sounds truly memorable!

Looking forward to reading more tales or maybe hearing about it in person soon…Are rumours really true you are heading home for the election? xox Sophie
