Travelling light is an article of faith for us, so we have been very selective in what we’ve brought along with us to help us record our journey.
Inspired by our friends Bianca and Phil at Hairy Mountain Folk, who recently completed their own big trip, we have dipped into our reserves to buy a Sony VAIO TX57. This tiny micro-laptop weighs not much more than a kilogram and should allow us to upload wherever we can locate a wireless signal.
Photos come from a lightweight Sony Digital SLR with 18-70mm lens. While larger and more cumbersome to carry than a super-small digital camera, we took the plunge on a digital SLR for superior picture quality.
Video posts will come from a Logitech Quickcam Fusion. It’s far from top of the range, but hopefully adequate for our purposes.Share This
