the people that you meet on top of mt olympus
Day 17: We chatted at the summit of Mount Olympus (the Skolio summit to be precise) to two Dutch folk, Klaas and Jose. We were amazed that Klaas and Jose had brought their dog, Lex, with them on the climb. The secret, the couple revealed, was that they had driven their 4WD car up to 2400 metres (about 400 metres higher than the Refuge where we’d stayed the previous night).
Klaas and Jose run their own website, www.greekmountainflora.info, and run small-group mountain tours for alpine flora enthusiasts.
