Day 12: A day spent in transit between two great cities. Saying our farewells to jLo, we tubed it to Victoria Station, jumped the Gatwick Express to the airport, checked in early for our flight to Athens with the budget airline EasyJet.
We found EasyJet easy enough, with more leg room than I expected and a cabin crew that struck the right tone. We touched down in Athens ahead of schedule and took the Athens Metro into the city.
Living in Sydney, we’ve seen Olympic-style transport infrastructure and our early glimpse from the airport was that the 2004 Athens Olympics had been a blessing for visitors to Athens as well.
