from istanbul to goreme by overnight bus
Some travel experiences are good; others are character-building. Istanbul to Goreme by overnight bus is a very popular trip in Turkey. It’s just that, when you buy your ticket, there are many factors beyond your control. We knew that our seats, second from the back of the bus, would be poor. Travelling behind the rear axle, no matter how big the bus, can never be recommended.

from patara to pamukkale by bus
It was one of those days that I would have been happy for someone to do it all for us: walk to Patara bus stop (5 minutes), local bus (dolmush) to highway (10 minutes), flagging down a bus headed to Fetihye (1.5 hours), connection to bus to Denizli (a 4 hour mail run) then a local bus to Pammukkale (15 minutes).
